Open House at Hanlan Boat Club
Visitors are Invited to “Try It”: Sunday, June 9!
Hanlan Boat Club is hosting an open house on Sunday, June 9, 10 am-4 pm, to introduce our Club, its programs, and the sport of rowing to the community. “Try It” – that’s right, get into a boat, hold an oar, and get out on the water – is a prominent part of this open house.
This “try it” open house is part of a larger initiative offered by the Outer Harbour Sailing Federation which includes all the community clubs starting from the Toronto Windsurfing Club in the west on Cherry Beach through the MultiHull Sailing Club in the east. Participating in the June 9 open house are Hanlan, Mooredale, Westwood, Toronto Windsurfing and OHCC clubs.
All clubs will have members on hand to talk about their sport and programs and to provide opportunities for a short sail or row. At lunch the barbeques will be fired up for lunch.
Come to Hanlan Boat Club which is on Lake Ontario, just east of Cherry Beach. Take Leslie Street to its southern termination, turn right on Unwin Avenue, left onto Regatta Road (along the east side of the Cherry Beach soccer fields), and then a final left as you near the lake. Have a row, sail, windsurf, and a hamburger on us!
