Founded in 1975, Hanlan Boat Club is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit rowing club located in downtown Toronto. A leader in recreational and competitive rowing instruction, Hanlan Boat Club supports rowers of all ages with a wide range of affordable programs, a professional coaching staff, top quality equipment, and an endless number of water routes to explore on Lake Ontario. ROWING NEWBIE?

Hanlan's Learn-to-Row programs are perfect for those new to the sport. You'll learn the basics of rowing technique, boat handling, water safety, and working together as a crew. Absolutely no rowing or athletic experience required.

EXPERIENCED ROWER?

Adult rowers who have rowing experience are warmly invited to join our Masters Recreational program, Masters Competitive program, or U23 / Seniors Competitive program.

Experienced youth rowers (age 11-18) will find a home with our Junior Development or Junior Competitive programs.
