MASTERS COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
The Masters Competitive program is designed for experienced adult rowers who want to train seriously with first-rate coaches for up to six mornings per week in preparation for regattas or to achieve individual goals. A full training plan, including on- and off-water workouts, will be provided, as will regatta coaching support and boat transportation to many of the major summer and fall races in Ontario. Athletes train and race in singles, doubles, quads, and eights.
COACH: Head Adult Coach Kirsten Ryan, with support from Coaches Tony Tremain, Eric Szonyi and Nicola Worsfold (coaching bios)
PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2+ years rowing experience or permission of coach; ability to meet erg standards
AGE: 21+
PRACTICE SCHEDULE: Six training sessions per week (Monday - Friday: 5:30 a.m. - 7:15 a.m; Saturday: 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.)
2025 DATES: Mid-April - October 31, 2025
PRICING (FULL SEASON): $1,363.93 (Includes $1,150 program fee, HST and Rowing Canada insurance fee. Does not include regatta fees.)
PRICING (FALL ONLY): $855.43 (Includes $700 program fee, HST and Rowing Canada insurance fee. Does not include regatta fees. August 4 - October 31, 2025 only. Fall registration opens in mid-July, 2025)
INCLUDES: Includes free, bi-monthly Hanlan barbecues on Thursday nights, pay-as-you-go meet-ups at Keating Channel Pub, and other social events.
SAFETY: Safety is our primary concern. If weather or water conditions are unsafe, practice will be conducted on land.
2025 REGATTA SCHEDULE: TBD; Athletes must commit to racing at two regattas in 2025.

* Rowers must be able lift 40 pounds in order to carry boats to the dock or launch them from a trolley. Please speak to your coach if you require assistance.
